Squash Recipe for meal and snack: "Ukoy na Kalabasa"

Ingredients: squash, egg, small shrimps, wheat or rice flour, garlic and onion, and a dash of salt
Ukoy made of squash instead of flour is cooked and served in a party, restaurant or just with members of the family and friends.

Preparation: Mix grated squash and egg, green onion, minced garlic, a dash of salt and sprinkle flour to keep the mix intact.  Divide into desired size of serving.

Keep serving small for crispy bite and golden color. Expect a second serving from your guestsSurely they will be back. They will tell to others how tasty and nutritious kalabasang ukoy is.Food value and mineral content of squash (Cucurbita maxima), fresh sample in percent.
