                                                       by AV Rotor, 2015

How deep is your faith, brothers,
to let no one break the bars of divide,
save the sun and stars and breeze
and creatures for a friendly ride.

Kindness through the fruits you bear,
your shade for the weary traveler,
buffer against dusts and stormy wind.
confetti for the reveler.

A progeny you belong, young  and old,
together living as one in the sun;
Darwinian and Orwellian by survival
in the likes of the virtues of man.

You herald the coming of each season,
in Vivaldi's music, Ruben's colors;
witness to the world from your towers
that dwarf man's senses and tools.

Thirteen, a significant number to man,
history and faith and philosophy;
the beginning and gateway to a forest
once his home, and driven away. ~
